Grew Up Hating Brussel Sprouts?

Did you grow up hating the bitter taste of Brussel Sprouts?

Well, trust me when I say you will like it if you cooked it my style.

First you will need to cut away the bottom part of the Brussel Sprout. Then start to peel them off layer by layer. Cooking it with seasonings like Oyster Sauce & etc in layers will help musk the natural bitter taste.

My hubby never liked it growing up. But he is now singing a different tune when I cooked it in a stir-fry. I will share the recipe of my Brussel Sprout Stir-fry later.

  1. I’m 42, and also in Melbourne, Australia. Occasionally my mum would cook Brussel Sprouts. I would just eat them to avoid any arguing. My sister would sit at the dining table for ours because my mum said: “You can sit there until you eat them!!” 3 hours later she would still be sitting there and so would the Brussel sprouts. Lol. I decided long ago I wasn’t going to be one if “those mothers.” I wouldn’t eat those vile, revolting things, so why would I give them to my kids. They are 12 and 18 now and have never tried Brussell sprouts. I have since learnt, after growing our own in our veggie patch, that society has been cooking them all wrong for hundreds of years. Roasted!!! It changes the flavor altogether. It’s the only way to have them!! 😁😁👍👍👍👍

  2. *hours not “ours.” 😁
